Guidelines for the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)–Generated Content

Authors are permitted to use artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the preparation of their manuscripts. However, the use of AI-generated content—including, but not limited to, text, figures, images, and source code—must be fully disclosed.

When AI-generated content is used:

  • The use of AI must be stated in the Acknowledgments section of the manuscript.
  • Authors must identify the AI system used.
  • Authors must clearly specify which parts of the manuscript were generated or assisted by AI, along with a brief explanation of the extent and purpose of its use.

The use of AI tools solely for language editing, grammar correction, or readability enhancement is considered a common practice and generally falls outside the primary scope of this policy. In such cases:

  • Disclosure is not mandatory, but recommended.
  • Authors must ensure that AI tools are not applied to the reference section, as this may result in unintended alterations.
  • Authors remain fully responsible for reviewing, verifying, and ensuring the accuracy, originality, and integrity of all AI-assisted content.
